mission of the LGBT Aging Project is to ensure that lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender elders have equal access to
the life-prolonging benefits, protections, services and
institutions that their heterosexual neighbors take for
granted. The LGBT Aging Project’s work is focused in Massachusetts,
but we are also founding members of the National Roundtable
on LGBT Aging. |

SAGE, or Senior
Action in a Gay Environment, was founded in 1977 and is the
oldest and largest social service and advocacy organization
dedicated to LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) senior
citizens.
SAGE also maintains a drop-in center in the "West Village."
Additionally, SAGE is the founder of a US network of local
organizations for LGBT seniors called SAGENET. |
