Smart, friendly but small piano bar and cocktail lounge.
Site Report:- Definitely worth a visit! As a 35-year old, I had
a wonderful time. I went on a Thursday, and there was a pretty good
crowd, along with a piano singer. Then, I went back on Saturday,
and it was wall-to-wall silver fox!!!

Go up the stairs to the new location for Numbers directly above
The Normandie Room. There's a forty five foot long bar, a nice view
of West Hollywood and a long row of black booths for dining. The
menu offers continental cuisine, but it's really the bar that attracts
the customers. The music is subdued and the crowd is a definite
blend of generations and styles. This is where the young and the
sporty attract the attentions of the mature and the distinguished.
It is "worked" by young hustlers which could be off-putting if not
expecting it.

Palm
Springs
Palm Springs has
one of the largest Gray Gay communities in the USA and with over 1,000
members, it has the largest Prime Timers chapter in the country. However,
the large number of retireees, and second-home weekend regulars, are
more likely to socialize privately than in the nightclubs.
The geographic sprawl and the lack of a gay neighborhood makes encounters
with these locals and their guests less likely than in more localized
gay resort areas. Many aspects of the area invite comparison to other
gay resorts, but those comparisons form an incomplete picture of the
Palm Springs experience.
Palm Springs is a perfect long-weekend winter getaway for anyone whose
primary interest is relaxing in the sun. It has a broader array of
facilities than most gay resorts, and is beginning to offer a comparable
number of gay-specific options. It does not have Miami's nightlife,
Key West's dining or Provincetown's culture, but it does have enough
high-quality, gay-specific offerings to fashion a fun vacation.
If you stay at a gay resort, you can fashion a very gay vacation of
the laid-back and low-key variety. Much of the Palm Springs gay experience
is sexually oriented. Many of the guesthouses here are at the high
end of the "Sexual Temperature" scale, and the trend is even further
in that direction, but there is still a broad range of lodging options
available. If you're looking to get lucky, Palm Springs is well suited
to help you achieve your goal. But the heavily advertised image of
Palm Springs as a place for guys on the make is just one side of this
multi-faceted destinations. With a little something for everyone,
Palm Springs is a destination almost anyone could enjoy.

Frequented by older crowd and admirers. Food is average. While many
locals come here to meet up with their friends there are some who
are looking for someone for the evening or perhaps a lifetime. Even
then, the locals are very friendly and you don't have to be a wallflower
if you don't want to. The piano attracts a group of singers who
take the microphone to join the pianist in some well known numbers,
a welcome respite from his singing! The
restaurant serves standard American fare but it is inexpensive and
portions are generous.

Though Streetbar is located on Arenas Road, which is Palm Springs'
version of the Castro, it's a step above the club scene's meat market
mentality. Patrons gather at the pool table or the bar for the entertainment
and to chat without the cruisy feel of most nightspots. Although
the crowd is mostly older, Streetbar is still an inviting place
for gays looking to meet locals. If you prefer a more relaxed and
mature nightlife choice, the Streetbar may lead you to common company.

This is a clothing optional resort but my partner and I were the
only ones without clothes by the pool. This is a good place for
a couple. The place is very private and very attractive. The staff
is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as it is in
the center of Palm Springs and the Warm Sands area is the center
for gay resorts (12).
2nd opinion: Very Nice place to stay. A very nice (& cute) host.
Rooms looked new and very well decoarated. I was hoping for more
older men but the two days I was there, only 3 out of 15 (20%) were
mature the rest look like typical under 40 men you see everywhere.
There was one very nice looking older couple there from Canada.
Only 30% of the men around the two pools were nude the rest kept
thier cloths on.
Motel 6
Not Gay but inexpensive and walking distance to the most of
the Gay bars. It is about 6 blocks due west from the Warm Sands
area that is where most of the Gay motels are located. Some of the
Gay motels willl permit you to use their pools, some for a nominal
fee. I have not been there but in Cathederal City which is about
5 minutes by auto East of Palm Springs there is a motel called the
CCBC....Cathedral City Boys Club which rents out pool use at a nominal
fee.
