Local Report 1/10/00: I just returned from Prague yesterday. Most of the old U Dubu crowd now goes to "Stella," which is a block or so from where U Dubu was, which is close to Namnesti Miru. The best bet is Drake's. It's a bar. Has a labyrinth of porno cabins and dark rooms. Strip shows, down to completely nude youngsters (to keep the older guys interested.) Hustlers avail. All in a subtle way. Unique. Fun. Anywhere else, by comparison, is a waste of time. Podoli, a swimming stadium, can be very cruisy. It's awesome visually in the shower room.

Reporters Comments: A cheap, comfortable, living-room type bar. Usually packed with handsome Czech silverfoxes talking to each other. I went there every day for a week and was the only tourist for the whole time. The problem is that hardly anyone of older Czech men speaks English. Some of them speak German and most of them speak Russian (But maybe speaking Russian won't be very good idea.) And because most of them sit with their friends, it's quite hard to make contact with them. It's best to go there in the afternoon, because at that time there´s a bigger chance to find a lone wolf who´s friends haven´t arrived yet. (As it went with my case ;-)) I'm 29 years old, but still a Czech gent didn't really believe that I'd like to have sex with an old man like him. So you have to work hard. It seemed to me that they're not very used to that kind of action yet. But anyway, after you've made a friend, the whole bar becomes actually your friends, the waiters are more friendly and people even might say hello to you, as you come in. And then yes, the bar is practically in the city center !
